Microfocus SAXS/WAXS setup installed
15th October 2020
A new small-angle X-ray scattering instrument with microfocus optics and complementary WAXS detector from Xenocs was recently installed and will expand the instrumental infrastructure of the Keylab „Mesoscale Characterization: Scattering Techniques“ within the Bavarian Polymer Institute (BPI).
This setup was obtained with support from the DFG as well as the BPI and allows for non-destructive, quantititative investigations of nanostructural motifs in heterogeneous samples or specimens with very small dimensions.
We are looking forward to a bunch of exciting experiments studying biogenic tissues and electrodeposited functional materials!
More detailed information on the Keylab is available on the website of the BPI.
